Anthony Flynn is the founder of Inner City Helping Homeless which he set up in 2013. If you aren't familiar with them, check them out. They're an independent, non government funded and predominantly volunteer based organisation that are on the front line of tackling homelessness here in Dublin.
Anthony is also a Dublin City Councillor. He serves on multiple boards including the Community Awareness of Drugs, Dominick Street Regeneration, the Dublin City Council Housing Special Policy Committee alongside the Joint Policing Committee for Dublin City.
Anthony is a real champion in this space, tacking jobs and truths that many of us don't know and others would rather we don't. Online and over and over I've seen him clash with the media and govt highlighting these difficult issues that otherwise would have gone unseen and un addressed.
I wanted to meet with him and learn more about what's really going on, and what I could do even at a small level to make a difference. I wanted to know too why homelessness is still an issue despite millions being poured in to address the space. This interview for me was eye opening and fascinating.
