Livestreaming came to a halt on my channel because it was such a pain to connect my camera to the computer. Even at my work, we struggle every day to get our HDMI converter to work reliably.

Then I found this thing, which like everything else I’ve used from elgato is just plug and play. As soon as you connect your camera, it shows up in any video app. There’s even free software you can use for streaming, which is awesome since as of now (11/2019), OBS is not compatible with macOS Catalina.
