Street Secrets 032: James Freudigmann of PMC Property Buyers | Brisbane - Inner
“It's not just an investment—you’re buying a home for someone else to live in.” – James Freudigmann
Brisbane has gone from a “sleepy” market to one of the most talked-about cities in Australia—but beneath the surface, the dynamics are far more complex than most investors realise.
In this episode, James Freudigmann, Director at PMC Property and former valuer, shares how Brisbane has evolved over the past two decades, what’s really driven its recent growth, and why the next phase may look very different.
We dive into the risks many buyers overlook: oversupplied growth corridors, flood and overland flow exposure, zoning traps, and the growing gap between premium streets and average ones. James also explains why area specialisation is becoming critical—and why fly-in investors and agents are often missing key nuances.
If you’re looking to buy in Brisbane, this episode will give you a sharper lens on where to focus—and what to avoid as the market shifts.
