The inquest into the officer's death lasted less than one week and proved very ltitle but it did raise another startling point. Over the past 20 years, over $220M has been spent by the country's national police force on everything from settling lawsuits, inquiries into Mountie mismanagement as well as examinations of the RCMP's use-of-force.
