How Can This Friday Be Good?

In John 19, what looks like the ultimate defeat of Jesus is actually the moment everything is accomplished. Beneath the surface, a deeper reality is unfolding—what looks like defeat is actually Jesus willingly carrying out a mission of love, fulfilling Scripture, and standing in our place. Good Friday is good because at the cross, Jesus finishes the work we never could, turning death into victory.
