Major market moves, “Primed” & ready, and a SPAC giveback 7/12/22

The Dollar is close to parity with the Euro. Bond yield curves are inverting or dropping sharply. And oil is collapsing again, back below $100/barrel. What are these big moves telling us? We’ll explore. Plus, Amazon Prime Day is officially underway. But there doesn’t seem to be as big a deal as in the past. Does the company still want retail to be its loss leader? We’ll take a hard look. And, Bill Ackman’s SPAC couldn’t make a deal, so it’s giving back the money. Are there really zero opportunities in this market, or is the SPAC model flawed? We’ll debate.
