So much of your life is spent trying to get from point A to point B. You are judged as a newborn by how much weight gained in a month. Then as a kindergartener by how well you write our name.
Soon you graduate to reading so many words per minute in third grade, leaving only room for advance placement classes to come at the end of high school.
Your ACT score is headlights on your college application. You either got it, or you don't. Further, you move on to living a life of productivity and leadership gauged by your career advancement in the company.
Doesn't this sound like a life you want to say "YES" too?
You see, we become hyper-focused on every stairstep, especially the ones that are missed. We drive home the idea that without these milestones, advancement and success is minimal at best.
But the achievement is not found in the rush of to-do lists, meeting certain milestones, and completing all tasks in a certain order.
It's discovered with patience.

Would you miss too much thinking you were in a delay? Or would you be more intentional and alert to what is happening around you?
Patience has its rewards.
And it's not the easy way out. In fact, the key to being patient takes action.
Yet that action is one in good spirit, not operating from a "chip on the shoulder" or "I deserve this" mentality.
Patience is a heartfelt cry that joins with persistence to ground the actions of greatness in motion.
You are created for more. You are created for a purpose and a calling on your life.
Your every day is the battleground for greatness. The only thing holding you back is you!
Don't rush as with a timer on your day. But by intention and take a.i.m. -- action ignites motivation. One step at a time leads to miles of greatness.
Your work is yet to be finished. Lay down your frustration and anger, your excuses, and whines. Go forth with patience and persistence.
Patience has its rewards.
