New coaching hires, conference championship preview & 20 minutes with Alex Smith

With Black Monday a few weeks in the rear-view mirror, five of the seven open head coaching vacancies have been filled: Dan Campbell with the Detroit Lions, Robert Saleh with the New York Jets, Brandon Staley with the Los Angeles Chargers, Arthur Smith with the Atlanta Falcons and Urban Meyer with the Jacksonville Jaguars. 

Terez Paylor & Charles Robinson spend the first portion of today's show spilling the dirt on the incoming class of rookie coaches and what excites (or confuses) them most about these hires. They also dive into the current vacancies with the Philadelphia Eagles and Houston Texans, Deshaun Watson's level of unhappiness and explore why, yet again, Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy hasn't been hired. Later in the show, Terez is joined by former Washington quarterback Alex Smith, who discusses his miraculous road to recovery from a catastrophic 2018 leg injury, his time playing in Kansas City, his advice for Dwayne Haskins and his thoughts on Eric Bieniemy & Urban Meyer. (54:40)
