There are many benefits to having sex.
1: Elevates mood and reduces depression with endorphin release.
2: Boosts immunity. A UPenn study indicated people having sex one to two times per week had more immunoglobulin A (a major antibody to fight foreign invaders and prevent leaky gut) than those who didn't.
3: Promotes glowing skin by releasing DHEA and human growth hormones. These hormones can rid the body of cortisol build-up (chronic stress) and help reverse damage caused by the sun!
4: Lowers blood pressure! When you distract the mind from stress, your blood is better oxygenated and can normalize.
Some other general benefits are:
- Higher self-esteem
- Deeper sleep
- Stronger and satisfying relationships
- Reduced inflammation
- Better functioning brain
Yet, there still is a problem with being "in the mood".
The K.I.S.S. ~ Let's get physical!There are a few ways to get "in the mood".
- Create space to relax and connect. You can use Magnesium flakes (1 cup) in your bath to relax you and your muscles.

Eat oysters (and shellfish). Oysters replenish the pituitary gland (one of the two master glands in your brain that tells the rest of the hormones what to do and how many hormones to make). It brings balance to the body.
Shellfish (especially oysters) are high in zinc, an essential mineral to help make testosterone, which enhances libido.
- Enjoy avocados not just for the dip. They help the body in making testosterone and can aid in the production of cervical fluid.
- Spice it up! Add spices like cayenne, jalapeno, and Serano chiles to improve blood flow to the reproductive organs in both men and women and stimulates nerve endings to make them more sensitive.
