Egan Bernal - Tour de France Winner

 

The Tour de France concluded today with 22 year old Colombian reigning supreme. Have we ushered in a new era in cycling?

 

I look back on what has been an amazing three weeks of bike racing. We've had up's, down's, crashes and cancelled stages. 

 

Team INEOS have walked away with a first and second place overall despite criticism from many about the depth of the team. 

 

Caleb Ewan proved the fastest man in this years tour but no one can touch Peter Sagan in the Green Jersey Competition - are we getting to the point where the organisers need to change up the rules to make the competition more exciting? This is Sagan's 7th Green Jersey win. 

 

It's been a wild three weeks but it's been a pleasure bringing you the Tour de France podcast. I'm looking forward to getting back to a more sustainable schedule of one or two podcasts a week and digging into some training topics. 

 

I feel like I need a rest just as much as the riders :)
