AIRPLANES AND OBESITY Airplanes can only take a certain amount of weight. With the rise of obesity, planes may be able to hold fewer people. The FAA may institute weighing of passengers to make sure the planes aren't over weight. There is a lot of outcry about this, but it does seem in the interest of safety. They aren't trying to fat shame or point fingers, they just want to make sure the planes fly properly. This could be some sort of wake up call for our country.
