S2, E1: The Butterfly Effect (with Lumenus Community Services)

Hi everyone - welcome to Episode 1 of Season 2! I am super excited to be back on the microphone sharing many different things with you all. I wanted to start off by talking about where I’ve been and what my goals are for this new season. I took some time to self-reflect on the podcast and really think about how I wanted to show up in this space. I decided to select a theme for this season, and that is going to be The Butterfly Effect. The Butterfly Effect is the idea that small actions can create powerful ripple effects in our lives and the world around us. I, personally, feel a sense of empowerment when I think about The Butterfly Effect and I am hoping that you will too. Every episode will end with a call to action that has the power to contribute to long-term, positive change, either on an individual level or a larger community/global level. These actions are meant to inspire and motivate you to take some small step. When everything feels like it’s on fire and you don’t know where to start, I want to remind you that there ARE things in your control and you CAN make a difference. I hope you love these conversations as much as I do!

We also have two special guests in this episode from the Lumenus team: Senior Director of Fund Development, Laura Champion & Board Director, Dr. Mike Daniels. They tell us all about the amazing work that their organization does in the city of Toronto.
