John Rohe – “One Gamer’s Journey at the Birth of eSports” – Back in 2008, a time when gaming for sport was frowned upon and the idea of making money playing video games was laughed at, I was competing in a game I loved and nothing else mattered. This is a look at my journey that took me all over the United States competing in a video game and I hope to give you some insights into what life of a professional gamer is like.
“Healing the City” is a weekly podcast about what it looks like to build healthier communities. Featuring the voices and perspectives of people from the Village Church, each episode is focused on the real challenges and real opportunities for change in our cities.
The podcast takes a whole-person approach. We talk about soul care and spiritual direction, along with mental health and community involvement. You will hear thoughtful perspectives on what people in our cities are up against, plus practical steps you can take to be part of the healing.
