Tibial Tunnel Cyndrome - What Nerve Impingement Causes Flat Foot?

Tarsal tunnel cyndrome is impingement of the tibial nerve, often associated with adult acquired flat foot and plantar faciatis. Nerve impingement can be caused by multiple etiologies but in the heel pain triad with flat foot, plantar fatiatus and tarsal tunnel cindrom gradual loss of stabilizers of the plantar arch can contribute to stretch and subsequent compression of the nerve as it courses through the tartal tunnel. Non surgical management should always be exhausted first, followed by complete neuralisis if this fails.
