Anaesthetic Contributors to FRC Loss

In this episode we tackle the SAQ, explain the changes on FRC that take place with the administration of anaesthesia.

This is an important core topic that requires a broad understanding of the 
1) A definition and normal values
2) How to measure FRC
3) and how it changes with anaesthesia
4) functions of FRC

I use a categorised answer of anaesthetic, surgical and patient factors to get a broad bite into this answer.

and don't forget to classify the functions as well!
Oxygen store, buffer, 
minimise work of breathing -  airways resistance and  compliance,
minimise pulmonary vascular resistance, 
decrease shunt/VQ mismatch and atelectasis,
