Introduction
All three major averages finish firmly in the green. Historically, stocks do very well in periods when inflation is high but falling. The jobs number last friday at least suggested that the economy was in some kind of condition to absorb whatever the might have left to do. But i would finish with a what gwendolen brook said: even if you are not ready for the day, it cannot always be night.
