"I would argue the most important aspect to your success is your passion," he says. "You don't get to come in here and pretend you can write, direct, and act in your own propaganda piece without coming through me first." He plays an excerpt from Birdman about a theater critic who thinks she can destroy Michael Keaton's passion by being too harsh on him. The actor then tells her: "None of this costs you anything. You risk nothing... I'm a fucking actor. This plate costs me everything".
