I Don't Think There's Any Way to Tell if a Player Isn't Ready for the Season

There is evidence that players who switch leagues perform worse in the off season. But it doesn't apply to everyone equally, says younow trent. The one exception might be if we only get a four weeks spring training,. maybe veteran pitchers are more ready to pitch full work loads at the start of the season. And given the concern about enning work loads for guys like that already, maybe that just further messes them up.
