Are You Curious When You Have Difficult Conversations?
When entering adiffic cult conversation is to lead with curiosity, so help me understand why it is that and then insert whatever behavior is out of alignment or not meeting expectations. Often times part of what happens when difficult conversations don't go well is someone has made an assumption about a behavior and its root cause s. We might get a piece of information or a shift in perspective that allows us to then have a more connected and pathetic, intelligent conversation about a hard thing. And i think that's sometimes where we fall down when we show up to have difficult conversations, is we skip the step of being curious.
