Taxpayers in Revolt
It is generally believed, and it's taught in history classes, that he was an enormously popular president. But taxpayers in revolt tells a totally different story. It tells the story of ordinary people who were not down with the programme. The country was very much in flux. And one could have imagined someone like roosevelt going in multiple directions. In 19 33, they were very ar governors who were budget cut by 25%. So i'm just saying there was upset about the status quo. That doesn't mean they were going in the direction of fashism or communism.
