What Happened to Dunwich?

Dunwich was once one of the principal new towns of the early middle ages. It had seven parish churches and a population of around 5,000 people. Was stopped in its tracks by an absolutely calamitous storm on new year's eve 12 88. About an eighth of the city was have swept off into the sea overnight. And all that we find there to day is the ruins of grav friars monastery,. One soule surviving grave, a leper hospital.
