Voting Rights Bills in Congress Haven't Been Successful, You Know?
The republican party has been taking advantage of their political advantage in many states around the country to really drive this current round of redistricting that happens once every ten years relationship with the census. You know, there've been two attempts to pass voting rights bills in congress so far this year, and they've both been defeated because of the senate filibuster firstrmost. And yet we see this happening in states like texas, georgia, a, just all over the map. And it's very concerning. People on the left should be very alarmed about these various attempts to undermine even the very limited and contested forms of democracy," she says.
