The Commitment to Abortion Access Work
In kentucky at the time, there were only two abortion clinics. And so living in a community where you have to drive an hour or more to get to a clinic is something that was a barrier for a lot of people. So i knew from the very beginning, especially since my parents are ninyeeran growing up, it was a lot of focus on self self determination and autonomy. It wasn't much talk about abortion. But even though it was a pretty conservative environment, i always knew that, like, i'm going to fight for something until all of us are free.
