Luella laturno was last seen on december thirteenth by her niece, and then her body was found eight days later in a wooded area known for logging. No one they'd initially interviewed at the start of the investigation showed up as a match. Luella's murder definitely echoed similarities to sindy's in a lot of ways, but at the time of richard's conviction, police had no solid reason, outside of speculation, to suspect that he killed sindy 16 years before.
