The Importance of Social Capital in the Strike
In 07 and 08, we thought that the people who were negotiated on behalf of the studios and the companies were no longer the classical studios. They had concern for the product to a greater degree than they did in 07 and 08. All these guys care about now is the bottom line. I actually think that they care about social capital as well as capital. And everybody wants to have an Oscar winner. But at the same time, really what they are doing is trying to reverse engineer what will keep their audience from yanking their credit card from that magic machine.
