The Importance of Balance in Work Life
When you're in finance, there's no such thing as going home and turning off. There is a trade-off between what you're doing at work and how much you allow yourself to have at home for your personal life. You do need a certain amount of personal life to eventually pursue the thing a lot of people want, which is a family. And if you end up with a partner who just doesn't happen to work in finance, that whole tension you thought you had resolved by hanging out with these finance people,. it's just going to bubble up at home because the partner feels like either you're not there physically or when you are there mentally.
