The Importance of Restraint in Cricket
I don't think in the particular capitalist mode that cricket has slipped into it, the idea of restraint has any traction at all. Because everyone is so desperate. Everyone is making short-term contracts because they cannot see beyond the horizon. There's a sense of real kind of anxiety and despair and panic and excitement about cricket. And it's actually become as neurotic as the societies that are playing it. It would actually require cricket to be less greedy. Right.
