Cryptocurrency and the US Securities and Exchange Commission

The US Securities and Exchange Commission or the SEC apparently went too far when it proposed a new rule demanding investment firms safeguard all their clients' assets with approved custodians. The move drew loud objections from organizations that aren't always on the same side as the crypto world. And finally, many Ethereum validators opted to withdraw their cryptocurrency from the blockchain's staking mechanism last month after the network's upgrade went live.
