The Five Dimensions of Humanity in Negotiation Preparation
I think originally in the negotiation world, we spent a lot of time on kind of cognitive thinking that strategy and tactics need this very cognitive thinking. And then as time went on, and this was interesting to me as I was leaving graduate school, the research on emotional and social intelligence was just coming out. Then I started integrating more of the physical elements, all those things we do in preparation so our physical body is prepared for very difficult negotiations. That's what I need about the five human dimensions. Just doing that puts us in an alignment and I would say it anchors us to really who we are and what we believe.
