Election Corruption - What Is It?

From the 16 nineties onwards, parliament gets really worried about this. They think that parliament's integrity is being corrupted by this money swilling around at election time. So they introduce various attempts to try and reduce the bribery that's going on. Very, very unsuccessfully, it has been said. And it's really not until the late nineteenth century that electoral corruption is really tackled and really removed.
