The Ottoman Empire in European History

The ottomans are a urasian power. They're as much asian as they are european. As they conquer territories in africa, they are an empire. But in this book, of course, i want to, in a way, rewrite european history. And the reason to do this is it also helps us to rethink all these different categories. We can still use the category the renaissance, but we just need to include all the figures who took part in it. So too, ith the age of discovery. We have to rethink the way o we define the age of Discovery to better understand sixteenth century global maritime conflicts.
