What Is Effective Altruism?
What is effective altruism then? You talked about, you just described it as seductive. But I think it's seductive in a way that is based in a simple-mindedness,. A simple-mindeds in terms of one's own ability to be wowed by simple ideas. Its simplicity is mistaken for an eloquency, which is therefore mistaken as a truth, a universal truth. These guys remind me of like the type of people that you see driving luxury vehicles with like a Grateful Dead sticker on the back.
