The Misogynistic Practice of White Sales

White sales were essentially an informal workaround to this situation. What on the surface seems like a misogynistic practice and one that I think probably on the surface doesn't seem to make a whole hell of a lot of sense, it turns out clearly was in the interest of all parties involved, including the women. The key comes down to understanding these situations as puzzles, and instead of writing off what are irrational or barbaric or downright stupid, trying to understand the constraints and incentives that drove them.
