What Did Darwin's Theory of Evolution Do to Christianity?

In 1790, Rob Speer is trying to replace Christianity with the cult of the Supreme being. His contemporaries would call it atheist because it impires in their terms. But that's not something a rich of Dawkins would recognize as proper atheism. In so far as that classic science-religion conflict happens, it does happen during that later 19th century period. And I mean, actually I wanted to kind of take this on to my next question a little bit. So I wanted to talk about the link between atheistic state and Communism.
