The Pioneers of English Football

Luton had like five, six black players in the team in the mid eighties. The backdrop to all this was a period of unprecedented darkness in English football. Some of the travelling so-called Billboard supporters invaded the pitch and indeed seats were broken and thrown onto the playing area. I recognize that they were the pioneers. And we still needed to carry on the way Luton tried to play in that very expansive way.
