The Surgery on the Arms of a Man

Sgt. John Beak had his arms ripped off during a training exercise in Afghanistan. Surgeons were able to reattach the blood vessels and nerves after seven hours of surgery. The operation required 15 pints of blood, which is an entire blood supply plus half another half. Dr. Beak wanted to go public about the incident but his family wasn't too keen on the idea.
