Jacasta's Prophecy
The story is based around it being a play, so when the characters enter the palace they're actually being played on stage. So eventually a servant walks out of the palace and tells Edepus what happened inside or offstage. The prophecy has come true, you dummy, because polybus meripane corns were not your parentsEdepus acts like an angry teenager, he curses himself and his fate before slamming the door shut.
