The Business Books Aren't Usually Business Books
Business books are useful because you can think yourself, like, hum, what would i have done? And then you kind of hear how they do it, and maybe they do it right. I've just found that investigated reporters are so much better at the stories than the business books writers writing the stories. Their stories are boring, and they're just not as exciting as, like, all the investigator reporters. You feel a little more empowered and in control of things when you read non-fiction. It sort of helps you calebrate your intuition that, like, things are a lot more simple and less magical than you would think they would be. The normalness of our society amplifies
