The Power of Abagonum

The film is about these men's experiences as told to you. It's not about what people like us think about the war on terror or their experiences. After interviewing 150 of these guys, a lot of them had a couple of things in common being they were very young when they got into this. They were all looking for a sense of purpose and a sense of belonging. But other than that, one of the reasons why there's four characters in the film, because as I was interviewing so many of them, I began to see a pattern. And most but not all would fall into one of those categories.
