Facing pressure over mounting petrol prices, the prime minister called an emergency meeting of the national cabinet on Monday to come up with a plan for the fuel shortage crisis. And despite previously saying there would be no cut to the fuel excise, that is exactly what Anthony Albanese has done, starting from today.
