Zero's Influence on Adventure Games

Eco is so striking because it doesn't seem to lean on a lot of game conventions or expectations. And in the same way, I think it does feel like zero is drawing from a lot of things outside of games and not just other adventure games. Like of course there is things that remind me of Monkey Island or other you know older double fine games. But it's just interesting to really feel those ever references from outside of games.
