Asylum Seekers in New York City
Border officials said to day, just over two million migrants have been apprehended and processed in the last year. That record high includes more than 200 thousand just last month. To insure they're no longer sleeping in the streets, the city set up this migrant welcome centerive yhe're getting an average of 400 people a day. The asylum seekers here are mostly from venezuela, nicaragua and cuba, which lack diplomatic ties with the us.
