The Right Sort of Christianity for the English
Northumbrian monk Beed writes his ecclesiastical history of the English people in around about 730 AD. He sees very much the Christianity of the Britons as being substandard and borderline heretical. So that's really, it's a very neat and tidy approach though isn't it? All funnels nicely into Alfredian Wessex and then on we go into sort of a wiggy view of history I suppose.
