The Origins of the CIA
At the time of creation, everybody knew that the CIA was being created. No other country had had democratically established intelligence agency in Eastern Europe and Scandinavia. One of the influential figures was George Kennan who wrote a famous analysis of what the Soviet problem was. Another figure I think when we look at is Alan Dulles who served for long term as the director of the agency between 1953 and 1961.
