Balaam is certainly not a model to emulate. He becomes one of those characters, you know, like Hitler and Mussolini or whoever might be like the bad guy. Just what a bummer. Every day or certainly every Sunday in churches around the world, your name is invoked as the one under whom the Messiah suffered. Not a great legacy.
