The AIC and the CHIPS Act
The AIC is backed by the Japanese government but their mission is economic. What they're looking to do is enhance competitiveness of the Japanese economy. They're targeting a couple of sectors primarily, seven conductors, seven conductor materials and bio-firm and soattacles. It's something where you can almost see a trend developing, right? This deal for your company, we've also got the CHIPS Act here in America which was a massive amount of money to be spent on trying to shore up the US's domestic chip design and production capabilities. Do you feel as though this is going to be something strategic where the next arms race is about semiconductors and technology ? Yeah, absolutely
