The Rise of Nature in Cities
There was a much more porous relationship between city and countryside up until the industrial period. We're rediscovering it now because we kind of begin to see that we need nature in cities. Trees are very, very good at shading and cooling cities. They're good at soaking up carbon. Almost every city in town is developing some sort of strategy that involves bringing nature back.
