John Hicks: Why does a Bond franchise remain so enormously popular six decades after they first exploded onto the public consciousness? There were many people who would like an answer to that question. For both Bond and the Beatles, it was really the Britpop era, the mid-90s, where they both sort of came rushing back into relevance. The future of Bond is a really interesting question. It will be because the next Bond will be the first millennial Bond.
