MQTT: The Standard for IoT Messaging
MQTT is the standard for IoT messaging. The device inside the house talks MQTT to a server in the cloud that brokers the connection between the device and your smartphone. It checks it, right, because people can't open up firewall rules for the cloud to talk to their air conditioning control device. I guess probably one of the vulnerabilities is that there's not a layer between the individual IoT devices and then the external MQTT broker Probably.
