"What i found to be some of the most avocative and often depressing aspects of the book was when you would give these little snippets about how different animals have had to adjust their behaviour due to man's encroachment on their environment," he says. "And so, i mean, one doesn't have to necessarily bring in consciousness, i guess. It's what i'm saying to try to look at things from the perspective of these other animals."
